Aana Hai To Aa – the subject of this post – was the seventh song from Naya Daur (1957) in my collection.
Alphabetically, the
song, which Mohammed Rafi sang, was the first song from the film in my
collection.
And according to its
title, it was, literally, inviting.
It also drove home
the fact that that, “Bhagwan ke ghar der hai, andher nahin hai” (which
could be translated to, “In God’s abode, there may be a delay, but there is
definitely no darkness”).
The song, which
was written by Sahir Ludhianvi, was composed by O P Nayyar.
