Mera Naam Hai Shabnam was a song from Kati Patang, which released in 1971.
Bindu was the actor it was picturised
on.
Spread across my blogs, this was the
seventh – and final – song from the film in my collection.
The lady who (Bhos)lent her voice to
it was the one and only Asha.
Although it was erroneously dubbed
the first rap song in Hindi films, it was actually performed in the talk-sung
style of Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady (1964).
The song, which was written by Anand
Bakshi, was composed by R D Burman.
